Training FAQ
Do I need DaVinci Resolve Studio, or is the free version enough?
- The free version is enough to learn with. I’ll point out any Studio-only tools as we go.
Should I bring my own laptop and footage?
- If you can. Bring a laptop with Resolve installed and some footage you know. It isn’t required.
How long is a session?
- 1:1 training is booked by the hour. Small-group and team sessions run as half days.
Can you train our editing team at our office?
- Yes. I teach teams across Toronto and the GTA using their own systems and projects.
I edit in Premiere. Do I have to switch to Resolve?
- No. You can keep editing in Premiere and use Resolve for colour. I’ll show you how to move projects back and forth cleanly.
Do I need any colour grading experience?
