Hello! I’m Kevin Luttman, a Video Colourist, Post Production Manager, and film technology specialist based in Toronto. With a degree in Film Production from York University, extensive technical knowledge, and nearly a decade of industry experience, I’ve combined my lifelong love for computers and cameras into a technical and creative career.
My work as a Video Colourist is my creative outlet. For me, colour grading provides the perfect blend of creative and technical work. As a colourist, I specialize in DaVinci Resolve. I work on a variety of colour projects including commercials, music videos, documentaries, narrative and experimental shorts. As long as I feel a personal connection to the work, I strive to use colour to enhance the story.
I am passionate about leveraging technology to help filmmakers reach their full creative potential. When working with me, the nuances of tech will never get in the way of being creative.
Outside of Colour work, I am a Post Production Manager and Consultant for various film companies in Toronto, and I regularly guest lecture at the University of Toronto about structuring stories in editing and emerging post technologies. One of my upcoming post projects is the documentary One of Ours (2021), which won the Special Jury Prize at this year’s HotDocs Festival.
Outside of work, you’ll find me cruising around Toronto in my convertible, searching for the best burritos and chocolate chip cookies in the city. Ask me for recos!
